Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Judgment of Divorced Shows Wrong County

A couple years ago my divorce petition was filed and the final hearing was held in Oakland Co., MI. The ''Judgment of Divorce'' was filed in Oakland Co. I recently noticed my Judgment of Divorce is in error. It reads at the top of the paper: State of Michigan in the Circuit Court for the County of Oakland, which is correct.

However, under ''Judgment of Divorce'' it reads: At a session of said Court, held in the Coleman A. Young Municipal Building, City of Detroit, County of Wayne, and State of Michigan, on [date is stamped here], PRESENT: Honorable [name of Judge is stamped]Circuit Court Judge.

Thus, this paper indicates a hearing was held in Wayne Co. [though it was actually held in Oakland Co.] and it is stamped with the Judge's name who heard the case [who is an Oakland Co. Judge, not a Wayne Co. Judge].

Because of the error, does this mean my Judgment of Divorce is actually invalid?

Thankyou!

Re: Judgment of Divorced Shows Wrong County

Your judgment is still valid as it was signed by the proper judge.
