who gets what when you leave your spouse

my husband had an affair while i was pregnant with our child. now he decided to buy me a van, im guessing to keep me around since i had left him for a few months but went back. well i said i would contribute $1,000 towards the van and he can sell my car and put it towards the van and he got a loan for $3,100. i still want to leave him. but now we have this van. he has a 2005 car so that means if i leave him i can take the van, right? he dont get 2 vehicles and i get none, correct? his name is on the title and i want to get mine on it too but i pay the insurance which is in his name. hes trying to talk me out of it because he thinks im going to leave him if my name goes on it too. im not going to leave him anytime soon. im just wondering what would happen if he took me to court for the van if i left him.

If you divorce, you should expect to divide property approximately 50/50. However, since your husband had an affair, there is a possibility you could get more than 50%. Of course, there are many other factors to consider that cannot be predicted at this time.
