Leaving state with child

i'm not married, and live in MI, with my one year old son and his father. i want to move back to S.C. and was told i couldn't leave the state with my son, because of the father. that he could stop me.

You can leave as long as there is no court order to the contrary. However, it would be fairly easy for the father to obtain such an order. Bill Stern 248-353-9400
