Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
Becoming legal guardian
My ex-husband (and son's father) is deceased. I am remarried and, in the event of my death, I would like my husband to raise my son without my ex-husband's family fighting for custody. How can I ensure that my husband would get full legal custody of my son in the event of my death without him having to adopt?

Re: Becoming legal guardian
There is never any way to guarantee that the father's family wouldn't try to get custody.
