Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
life insurence
My parents together had a
life-insurance policy with my name as
the soul recipient. when they
divorced my father gave it to my
mother with the condition that i stay
the main recipient until i turned 18.
my mother passed away when i was
15 years old. my stepfather became
the recipient not long before her
passing without mine or my fathers
knowledge. is this legal? is there
anything i can do and is it worth
suing?

Is there a court order requiring that you be beneficiary? Is there reason to think that your step-father somehow changed beneficiaries? I think you need to consult a probate attorney as soon as possible.
Re: life insurence
The courts have dealt with similar issues in the past. If there was a court order that you stay the main receipient until you turned 18, and if your mother or step father didn't obey the court order, you might be able to get help from the court. You should meet with an experienced family law attorney right away.
