Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

If I live in the same houshold as my ex-girl friend and have been paying and sharing equally in all bills including expenses for my 16 yr old son can she go to court and still get child support payments from me? Thank you.

Generally, when parties live together and one spouse pays all the bills a status quo order would be entered as opposed to chid support. If she received support, she would hav to contribute to the living expenses and wind up in the same boat.
