Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

I live in Michigan. I had an uncontested divorce this year. One of the items listed on the final judgement page and signed by the judge, was a joint debt for a car which had been repossed. The joint debt was listed as my ex's responsibility, and released me from any liability for this debt. How do I go about having the collection agency for this debt take my name off of this debt?

Your attorney should have explained to you that you remain legally liable to the lender for payments on the car. The divorce judge cannot change your liability to the lender.
