long distance divorce

should i get a lawyer in s.c or retain one in mi?I started my divorce in mi. my court date is for june, however things have changed drastically.I need to make changes,as i'm sure he will also.we both live in s.c.which is the best way to go?

Based on the limited information you provided, it is not clear whether MI or SC would have jurisdiction at this point. Further, if both states have a claim to jurisdiction, you need to determine which state's laws would be more favorable to you based on the facts of your case.
