Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

I am still married. Because of emotinal abuse and property destruction I left with our 3 yr old daughter to the other side of the state because that is where I was from originally and that is where I know people that could help us. I already got a job and daycare and looking for my own place for me and my daughter. Is what I did legal? What should my next step be?

There is no court order to the contrary so you are okay. You may want to file for divorce where you live, get a court order for custody and establish a visitation schedule. You may have to meet half way or work out some other arrangement for transfer, depending upon the judge.
