Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Medical Insurance coverage

My husband has recently left me thre weks ago, we are not legally separated or have any lawyers involved in this matter as of yet. I'am I still covered under his medical insurance through his employer and if so for how long?Can he take me off at any time and if so does he have tto notify me. Any advice in this area would bwe very helpful . Or could you direct to someone who maybe be able to give me this information. I do live iin Michigan.

Sounds like you need to discuss this with a lawyer. Your husband may have you removed from the insurance immediately, which could cause you a problem. Even if you don't want to file for a divorce right now, you can petition the court for a separate maintenance order, and request that your husband be required to maintain medical insurance for you. Whether or not it is granted depends on your individual situation, and a family law attorney would be able to assist you with this.
