michigan name change
In Michigan what steps do I need to take to change my last name? I find the forms but not the exact steps I need to take. This is not a marriage issue.

Fill out the form, file it in the probate court and they will give you a hearing date. The judge will ask you questions to make sure that you are not doing it to defraud creditors and your name change will most likely be granted. Bill Stern
