I was told that at the age of 17 you can move out without a parents permission, is this true? If you can are you allowed to leave the state line.

In Michigan, the age at which you are automatically legally emancipated from your parents is 18. However, if you are already 16 but not yet 18 you may petition the court for emancipation. Upon emancipation, the state line would not pose a restriction. Best of luck.
