Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

my mom has been married to her husband for ten years. He only has a few months to live now. His daughter and son who never visited have suddenly come out of the wood work. They told my mom their dad has a will and she gets nothing. Mom didn't even know he had a will! They also have told my mom that the will says she can live in the house for up to one year so she can find her own place, and they can then sell the house. My mom has lived with her husband in that home for over ten years. Can this really happen? Yes only his name is on the deed but she's lived there for ten years!

It really depends on many factors and ownership of assets. Mom can also choose to take against the will and may do better. She needs to get together with a skilled probate attorney now to prepare the proper strategy.
