Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
Getting money for dance lessons after divorce
In our final divorce agreement, my spouse agreed to pay $120 monthly dance lessons for my daughter, as I would not be able to pay them after divorce. He owes me 8 mos., and I need to know what I have to do to enforce this. I cannot afford to go back to court. And how do i get him to help with my daughters braces,,it was not stipulated but states he is 51% responsible for all medical and dental neccessities.

You can file the motion yourself. Otherwise, get an inexpensive lawyer. You'll probably get the same result anyway. You never mentioned if you know your ex's excuse for not paying. If it is a bad excuse, you may be able to get attorney fees from your ex. William S. Stern 248-353-9400

I recognize that you stated that "you cannot afford to go back to court," but you need to go back to court/FOC if he has failed to live up to the order. For more info, please contact my office at (248)851-3171.
