Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

mother with co-occurring disorder

I have been diagnosed with co-occurring disorder. I'm on probation but not for any kind a drug charge. I want to go into treatment but scared that protective services and my probation officer will be notified my papers say no drug use as part of my probation. Do they get contacted if so would I lose my kids and end up in jail?

Re: mother with co-occurring disorder

Being in treatment and taking prescribed medications is not a probation violation. However, if you are going to begin a new medicine, it might be helpful to tell your probation agent in advance.
