My mother is sick and I haven't seen her in a very long time. She is under the care of my aunt, and my aunt is doing everything she can to prevent me from seeing her. She even claims the doctor says that seeing me will worsen her condition. Do I have the right to see my mother if she wishes to see me?

Since your aunt is taking care of your mother, you are not in a position to be a guardian. However, the solution is to petition the probate court to appoint an independent guardian who would prevent your mother from being held hostage and allow the visits. That is a bit expensive however, as you have to pay a filing fee, fill out forms, maybe bear some responsibility to pay the guardian ad litem who would be appointed to look in on the situation, etc. However, I d not see another alternative.
It is not necessary to be a guardian to see your mother. If your mother wants to see you, she needs to tell that to your aunt. If she's being held hostage, call the police.
