Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Mu husband and I are divorcing. Two girls 7 and 4. We are going to do 50/50 joint custody(everything even). He makes 80,000 a yr, and I make 28,000. Will I get child support?? He is screaming at me telling me I will only get $280.00 a month if I'm lucky. I cannot survive and provide for my girls on that:(

Child support is based upon a number of factors, including the amount of overnights each parent has, number of children, tax filing status, number of tax exemptions, income, cost of health care premiums and daycare costs. The Courts (and most attorneys) use a compter program to calculate child support based upon all of the necessary factors. You should either consult the Friend of the Court Office and ask for a child support investigation, or hire an attorney to assist you. It is impossible to calculate the exact amount of child support you will receive without going over all of the necessary details. Good luck.
