non parental rights

i have been in a relationship 6 years,partner has children with another woman(twins now 19mos.)partner gets costody because of abuse.babies have been living with partner(father) and myself. what rights do i have or what documents should i obtain to insure any non parental rights? iam raising them as my own in the event that we part i would like to maintain paretal contact

You have no rights. Try to get the mother to relinquish her parental rights and allow you tro adopt. Bill Stern
