Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

occupancy

three years ago..during a separation...my wife signed a quick claim deed transferring the house to my name only and in exchange she got her cash.

That was done under terms of a divorce judgement...but later we reconciled. Now...we're heading toward divorce again..but house is still in my name. Who gets to stay in the house with the kids until it is final. I have a motion for exclusive occupany now pending before the court.

There is no clear cut answer on this. Many times, no one moves out until the divorce is final. But if one of you must move, the court will look at what is in the best interests of the kids. Bill Stern 248-353-9400
