Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

parternity

My adult son has the wrong name as father on his birth certificate. He is 39 yrs. old. his father and I would like to get this straighten out. I get different methods on how to do this. One is to file a motion with Court in county he lives. We are willing to get a Legal DNA test for the court if needed. Please advise me on how to go about this. ( the name on his Birth Certificate is a fictious name as there was no such person, it was a combination of my maiden name and my father. I'm 66 and would like to see that his father is on the certificate so he can have the right name he should of had from the begininng. I have been very ill and would like to get my son name straighten out. Thank you Helen

A petition to the court sounds like the way to go. I agree with that advice. William S. Stern
