Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
pension benefits
In Michigan, are law enforcement officers exempt from Michigan law to share 50% of pension benefits to ex spouses. If so is there a formula used or is it just 50% of the totaled amount one has contribrut over the period of 20 years of married.

Re: pension benefits
Cops are not exempt. There is a coverture fraction that is often used to determine division of the marital portion of a pension.
You should meet with an experienced, family law specialist.
