pick up / drop off of child

Can I use a police or fire station as a drop off/ pick up point for when my child goes to visitation with his Dad? Do I need to do anything other than inform the other party of the change? We do not have a set destination in our divorce decree.

Yes that is very common. Provided the location doesn't cause undue hardship to the other parent, it shouldn't be a problem. If the other parent object and you cannot agree on the location, you may have to go back to court on a motion to specify your parenting time order and state your reasons for wanting this specific drop-off.
