Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
I got preg by a man I was seeing for a short time, who lied and is married. My baby is 7 months old and he has nothing to do with her. We just went to court for child support. When he found out what he has to pay he freaked out. Now he wants her for visits. I do have hard feelings towards him but I pushed them aside cuz hes still her father. If he wants to finally take that responsability, great! But I dont want him taking her when hes a stranger to her. I want him to spend time with her at her residence then slowly increase it cuz what it would do to her. Is that asking too much? He thinks so and thats why hes now taking me to court. Will the judge see my view?

Doubtful. 7 month olds are not the same as a 5 year old when it comes to strangers. Unless there are other reasons for supervised visitation, I don't see it happening.
The judge may ease him into it over a very short term. Why don't you arrange for a couple of short meetings with your child so he is not a stranger. Let him play with your baby. You'll be surprised how kids get used to things. If you hired a babysitter, the child would have to get used to that quickly and they do.
