Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

prenuptial agreements

In 2003, I signed a prenup before my husband and I were married. It states no matter how long we are married; if the marriage dissolves, I will be entitled to nothing. I signed it. In 2004, I was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder with manic depression and placed on medicine. My husband refuses to give me money to take care of personal exspenses other than food and shelter. I had quit my job as an LPN with his blessing upon our marriage. If either one of us files for divorce, will this prenuptial be legal in the court? Thank You Pam

Re: prenuptial agreements

It depends on whether there has been a change of circumstances that would make the agreement unfair and unreasonable. Feel to email me at: [email protected] to discuss this matter further.
