Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

I�m in the process of filing a motion to amend parenting time. My question is; when a motion is filed it means that you�re asking the court to change something within the case, �Right�? Can the court take it upon itself to make changes other than the ones requested within the motion?????

The court has the power to do things on its own. It is called sua sponte.
