Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
Property Settlement
I have been married for a little over two years. I am filing for divorce but would like to know what realistic expections regarding property settlement. I have contributed 100 % of the living expensives. The house was mine prior to the marriage. He had several affairs, (currently living with a 60 year old, he is 36). He is a con-man. We has equipment for a landscaping business in which I purchased well over half. He has never given any of his earnings to the ''marriage'' but rather kept it for himself. Even sent his wages from a job to his mother to put in an account for him. He owes over $22,000 in back child support (not our children) and has serveral debtors calling him.

I suspect you would do financially well in the divorce given the facts as you've laid out. You probably would retain your house free and clear. For more info, please contact my office at (248)851-3171.

Sounds like you are in a very strong position. Bill Stern

I agree with the other attorneys. You are likely in a strong position. However, in order to do a real analysis, MUCH more information is needed. Of course the end result will also depend on the aggressiveness of your attorney, which county you are in and which judge you get.
Bottom line is that you need to retain an attorney that will fight for you and has the experience to do that.
