Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
Qdro's
I never recieved my QDRO's from X, I have been divorced 4 years now and several times have requested X to get them done. I sent request to his employer who sent back to me because the wording was not proper. He and his attorney have recieved several notices from the company. And they still have not followed through with this court order to be processed by divorce judgement.
What can I do since X has held this money and never given me my portion to roll over into something else to invest in.
Is there anyway that the judge would give me any interest on the money since it was court order by judgement of divorce? This money is from a sspp by GM.
Please advise me of my options. Thank you for your time.

Re: Qdro's
The court that presided over the divorce has continuing jurisdiction. i suggest making a motion to show cause, requiring your X to explain why he/she has failed to comply with the judgment of divorce. For more info, please contact my office at (248)851-3171.
Re: Qdro's
It will be fairly easy to have the judge issue an order for the QDRO. Your divorce attorney should file a motion. It is also likely that you would be entitled to a proportionate share of the growth in the account over the last 4 years.
