Removing arrearages

Just recently in Nov 2007 I gave up custody to my 11yr old son and he was adopted my his step father in Dec 2007. I owe 17,000.00 in arrearages and my ex and I came to an agreement that she doesn't want the money, how do I file a motion to remove arrearages? Do I need a lawyer for this?

You should have an attorney to draft this document. It can be done for a reasonable price and depending on the court system you are in, can be achieved quickly if done properly.
