Return engagement ring?
What does Michigan law say about the return of an engagement ring? I broke off my engagement, and kept the ring, even after he asked me to return the ring. I consider the ring a gift. He has contacted the state police and has told them I stole the ring.

Sorry, in Michigan the ring is considered a "conditional" gift given in contemplation of marriage. Therefore if the condition--the marriage--does not occur, the giver has a right to recover the ring/gift.
