Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

separated parents

Michigan-our children are separated. Our son hasn't seen his 6 mo. old son in two weeks. He's going to go pick him up at the sitters today. If his mother shows up wanting to get him do we, the grandparents, have to let her take him.

Re: separated parents

Assuming there is no custody order, they each have equal standing to have the child or children. so that you do not harm your relationship with either parent, you should take the "high road", sit both down and explain that you do not want to harm your relationship with either of them and that you should all work to do what is best for children. Try to work out a visitation schedule. William S. Stern
