Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

My husband of almost 19 years recently left me and my 4 children after I worked 2 jobs to put him through nersing school stating that he wasn't happy and didn't love me anymore. He graduated 1 year ago from school. He paid the bills and provided money for the first 2 months now he has opened his own bank account and is having his money directed there. He says he will pay the bills and that I can use the money I make, cleaning busineses for the rest. I don't have the needed 1200 for a retainer fee for the laywer I went and saw but I want to make sure I get someone good who is going to sock it to him. He has been coming to see the kids so that he can keep a log to try and make it look like he is a good father. I am also keeping a log of how much he sleeps and talks on the phone while he is here with the kids spending quality time with then. Any advice would be great Thanks
