Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

I was served papers on Thursday @ 4pm when I walked into work for a motion this Wednesday, I have no time to hired an attorney, I will go to the Motion but will my Ex be granted the motion if I show up with No attorney??? Can I ask the Judge for more time to hire an attorney? Thank You
