Re: shared mortgate

Dear Sir:

This is in response to your email of September 3, 2001, which this office received on October 5, 2001.

In response to your question, it is undetermined whether you are legally separated pursuant to court order or whether there are any other outstanding orders as to spousal support, child support and other financial matters.

However, if there are no court orders in effect, those persons who are named on the mortgage are responsible for payment thereon.

Very truly yours,

Nichols & Eberth, P.C.

Re: shared mortgate

Hello: I have received a copy of your post regarding what monies you should give to your wife to handle bills. You have left out at least two important facts, does your wife work and how much does she earn vis-a-vis your income. The two of you need to review all of your normal monthly expenses and determine how to pay yhem in light of the total income available to the family. What about utilites, property taxes, house and life insurance, car expenses, expenses for the children, food, clothing, etc? I strongly advise you to see an attorney to determine what is appropriate under your specific facts. You will be better poff in the long run if you and your wife make fair, rational decisions now. Contact my office, if you would like, and speak to my associate, Helene Phillips. Good luck. John C. Talpos (http://www.Mich-Lawyer.com)
