Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

getting sole legal custody

Through court order one year ago, I have sole physical custody of my 6 year old. Father and I have joint legal. There is a bench warrant out for him due to non-payment of support and contempt of court. He moved, and has not given me an address or phone number, so he has not had parenting time in 2 months. I am wondering if I took this back to court to request full legal, what chance do I have? Given that he is so non-communicative, and I do not even have a phone number for him, why should he have any say in legal decisions when I cannot even call him? We do still communicate by email, IF he chooses to answer. Thanks.
