There is no specific statute of limitations if a Qualified Domestic Relations Order that specifically sets forth the retirement deal is not entered. However, it usually opens up a mess between the parties, is somewhat time consuming and technical to deal with. It is much easier to do it contemporaneously with entry of the judgment of divorce.
