What are the steps to request the unsealing of a divorce record in Michigan?

The first thing is you have to have "standing". In other words, it has to be your business. If the court sealed the transcript, some general member of the public has no standing to request that the case be opened. Second, you'd have to have a real good reason, not just curiosity. Third, the reason the record was sealed would be a factor. Does that reason still exist? As far as procedure, I assume you would have to make a motion before the court who sealed the transcript.
