Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Support

My company that I work for ignored a IWO from the Friend of the Court in Michigan. Can they be held liable for any arrears as an result of this action. I currently work and live in Texas and have addressed the issue with a texas attorney and was advised that a michigan attorney would be better answering this question. Thank you

The Michigan Court can certainly hold your company liable, but to enforce it, the judgment still needs to be enrolled and enforced in Texas, so I do not think solely Michigan law would apply in this circumstance. But typically child support withholding laws provide for penalties against companies that ignore the order.
