Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Support for 30 year nonmartial relationship

A couple is together for 30 years (now spliting up). The woman has never worked (she is disabled) and the man supported her for the entire time. They have children (now grown). The property is in her name (quit claimed to him 6 yrs ago). What do you believe she will have the rights to? They have always been under the understanding that he supported the family. However, her parents paid the down payment and eventually paid off the property. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Support for 30 year nonmartial relationship

An experienced and skilled attorney MIGHT be able to help her. She should IMMEDIATELY meet with somebody that has dealt with these issues in the past.
