Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Taking a deposition

I am due to have a deposition taking a a Lawyers office and I am wondering since I don't have an attorney at the present time.. I need to know what I should do and expect and what are my legal rights. And is it a regular practice for a lawyer to take a depostion at his office when I am not the client.

Re: Taking a deposition

Yes, it is very common. The lawyers must believe you have important knowledge of facts that have a bearing on the case. They are required to take your dep. in the county where you reside. If you wish to have an attorney accompany you, you may also do that. For more info, please contact my office at (248)851-3171.
