Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Temporary guardianship of a minor

I have been asked to take care of a cousin temporarily(cousin is a minor). For several reasons, I need a simple document/form stating that I have temporary guardianship over her.

I have been having trouble finding a legal form/document that says such.

I have looked through books and through the web. Just something stating that she is with me for a period of time.

Re: Temporary guardianship of a minor

Dear Sir/Madam:

This is in response to your email of July 31, 2001.

You may want to consider visiting a local law library such as the Wayne State Law Library in Detroit, Michigan. Such libraries have various publications with copies of various forms that are required by the court. Two such resources are The Michigan Probate Source Book, a three-volume publication by ICLE and the Michigan Estate Planning Handbook, a one volume publication by ICLE.

Sincerely,

Michael D. Eberth
