Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Temporary Legal Duardianship

I am considering a 6 months temporary legal guardianship so that my daughter can stay with her aunt in the Rochester area and attend scholl there. What form should I complete? Is there a pre-written form that I can obtain and where? Should I obtain service from an attorney so that this temporary transfer can be clearly described and understood from all involved parties?

After 6 months, do I need to go to court to reclaim my guardianship of my daughter? She is 17 now and will be 18 in May. 2005.

Sincerely,

She will have to file a petition for guardianship with the Oakland County Probate Court. The court charges a fee to file this petition. It will then be set for a hearing. William S. Stern 248-353-9400
