Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
termination of parental rights
My lawyer pled me out in chambers with the judge without my consent. He told the judge he had axplained everything to me and he told me and my witness' that we would present our evidence at another time. He claimed it was pre-trial. I had no idea i was found guilty till i called the omnibudsman. Can i move for a mistrial and sue for the distress it has put my family under?

A lawyer can't just plea you guilty without your consent. There needs to be a record of it and you have to lay a factual basis. I think you may need to look into it more. Additionally, you can't move for a mistrial if you never had a trial.

You should IMMEDIATELY consult with an experienced and aggressive attorney to help you clarify your facts. It might not be too late to help you.
