Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Visitation, Child endangerment?

My Ex-Husband came over yesterday for his 2nd visit in 11 1/2 months. He had his other two children with him.

I deceided to give him a little alone time with our son, to see how son is handling visits. (Also, he asked for some time alone with him)

After I left the room, our son who is 2, was crying, my mother was in her room and came out to see what the problem was. When she entered the room, She saw my ex holding our son very tightly trying to keep his screaming quite. She said that our son was screaming ''let me go'' and when my ex so her, he let her go and asked our son what was wrong.

Could this be used to get supervised visits? What can I do about his behavior in handling our son? Our son is very articulate and told me after he left ''daddy scarry''

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Re: Visitation, Child endangerment?

It's going to be hard to prove that he wasn't just hugging his son. Your son was probably freaked out because this guy comes out of nowhere with 2 other kids and probably spoke to taking off somewhere. It shows an incredible lack of judgment on this man's part. If you can afford it, ask the court for a parenting time evaluation and in the interim, based on the fact that he shows up like that after a giant gap with 2 other kids, ask for supervised in the interim.
