Re: visitation rights for grandsparents

Due to constitutionality issues, it is often difficult for a grandparent to force grandparent visitation upon a parent due to the assumption that parents have primary rights to the child(ren). Despite that though, it may be possible to obtain visitation through a motion with the court. The rights of the parents will always trump the rights of the grandparents, however, and you need to consult with a family law attorney about what you need to do. How likely you would be to succeed depends on everyone involved.
