Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Wife filed for divorce and we should be done by August, but I was injured at work and now may settle and get a indemnity lump sum payment for future lost wages.Is my wife entitled to any of this in Michigan . the wording in document states its for the next 28 yrs. Also I am still unable to work

If you are getting weekly payments, it is most likely a better strategy to continue getting the weekly payments and resolve your divorce. Make sure the language of the divorce judgment does not give your future ex a piece of the comp settlement. Otherwise, she may be entitled to a part of your comp settlement.
