Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

I will try this again.

Leaving on vacation late Saturday, if we take unsigned pre nup to Maui and decide to marry and have notarized and witnessed there, is it valid in Michigan if we need to enforce it?

Our legal residence is Michigan.

PS Don't have time to sign, witness and notarize in Michigan prior to leaving.

When the document is challenged on the basis of mental state or who knows what else, you'll be sorry that you did not take the two minutes in Michigan and have it signed here.

Beyond the logistics, if both sides are not separately represented and have attorneys advise them and negotiate same, it can be set aside under michigan law. Tim Klisz
