Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Will an email hold up in court for a divorce

My husband has moved out of the house and is going to be filing for a divorce. We had been arguing about what he owes me for bills. I then received an email from him stating that he would pay me the $3,000. If he changes his mind and decides to fight me on this will the email hold up in court?

Thank You

The problem is, the email may be construed as settlement negotiations and settlement negotiations are not admissible in court. However, if somehow it is construed as an admission, it is admissible. Bill Stern 248-353-9400
