Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

I am a young man in my 20's and I have sole custody of my son because his mother abadoned him 2 years ago. I served her with child support papers because she is working and she attacked me and broke my ankle. I am scared to report this to the police because I do not want to lose my son because she is working and I am not and I do not have another relative to prevent him from going to foster care please help.
