Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

I am a author. I donated a copy of my book, signed, to a local library. Because of some content I advised them to safeguard it. The book tells of my experience as a cop in that town and the foul politics I encountered. I was notified, after countless enquiries as to why it was not listed, that it disappeared. What can I do? It's a county public library.
