I would need to know why it is a "poor" installation, i.e., is the DVD player not working right, or just it does look like a poor installation? Either way, Best Buy may have breached their contract to properly install the player, but these types of stores have very poor customer service and will give you the runaround until the end of time. If BB will not agree to fix what they failed to do properly, you should have a lawyer send the store manager and headquarters a letter on your behalf.

Best Buy is everywhere. Ask them if you can take it to another branch to get it sorted out...or take them to small claims court if there was actual damage to your car.
